On
the eastern peninsula of Isla Bastimentos is an
area called Old Point or Punta Vieja. There are
beaches on each side of the peninsula. The interior
is jungle. There are several hotels and lodges, a
few small developments and families on this
peninsula. Several Latin American countries have
used this part of the island as the base for their
Survivor series.
